How Anghami royalties are calculated
Like Spotify and Apple Music, Anghami uses a pro-rata revenue pool. Each month, Anghami takes the revenue it earned from subscriptions (Anghami Plus) and advertising (free tier), sets aside the licensing share owed to rights holders, and divides that pool by the total number of streams. Your payout is your share of total streams multiplied by that pool.
That's why there is no fixed "per-stream rate": the effective rate moves every month with subscriber numbers, ad revenue, and total platform streams. Any number you see quoted online — including ours — is an estimate derived from real royalty statements, not an official price.
What changes your per-stream rate
- Subscription tier of the listener. Streams from Anghami Plus subscribers pay significantly more than streams from free, ad-supported listeners — often 3–5× more.
- Listener country. Subscription prices and ad rates differ by market. Streams from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait generally generate more revenue than streams from lower-priced markets.
- Month-to-month pool size. More total platform streams in a month dilutes the pool; more subscribers grows it.
